2018 — described as a year of stability

With markets predicting a stable year ahead in housing, Taylor Wimpey, the UK’s third largest house building company have been weighing in with their views on how building and housing developments will fair in 2018. Pete Redfern, Chief Executive of Taylor Wimpey recently told Construction Enquirer he sees 2018 as a year of stability, citing the companies end of year statement celebrating ‘housing completion up 5% to 14,541 homes’. This was a great achievement and contribution of 7,136 homes to the much needed demand facing building companies in the UK presently. The amount of land it holds within it’s asset bank rose by 8% in 2017 with Redfern calling the market ‘very positive and stable’. This land bank it is hoped will translate into further building works for more homes to help meet the UK government’s target for 2018. A significant number of these are based in London, and it will be interesting to see if they choose to adopt the traditional or modular forms of construction for these. We’d be delighted to help brand these new places!
