Buyer insight – Bristol

A few weeks back, we visited south Bristol to do some potential client research.

We were on the hunt for buyer insight in to the area – we wanted to see how districts connect, what the routes to work are like, and who the key audiences for developments in the area are likely to be. As we experienced the boroughs and soaked up our surroundings, we were mindful of the motivations of people moving into an area, as well as people buying in an area they already rent in.

What draws people to the area, where would they buy their morning coffee…would they even buy a morning coffee? Where would they meet friends, or might they work nearby? And what makes this neighbourhood different from other areas of Bristol?

At Latch, area research is key! We like to gather as much information as possible about the lifestyles on offer around a particular scheme – inevitably, gathering data reveals what attracts people to buy and settle in an area.

On this visit, we were able to see a vibrant, artistic and quirky side to this Bristol district, as well as strong heritage and creativity. This gave us lots of ideas to tap in to and a wealth of knowledge to consider as we look to offer our clients the best design answers to their developments.
